The NGL ONE 1on1 Competition is a professional league with offline finals at the end of each season and will be called NGL ONE in the following.
1.2 Participants
Every player participating in the NGL ONE will be called a "participant" in the following.
1.3 Commitments
1.3.1 By attending the NGL ONE participants acknowledge without limitation to comply with the rules and regulations of the league and with the decisions of league officials. The application of these rules and regulations is at the sole discretion by the league officials. Any decision made by league officials may supersede these rules and regulations to preserve the spirit of competition.
1.3.2 Every participant has to upload an adequate picture of himself and to ensure to complete his profile before the start of the upcoming season. Ignoring this will result in one (1) penalty point every twenty-four (24) hours from the beginning of matchday 2.
1.3.3 Every participant has to show the needed respect towards other participants and league officials. Disrespectful behaviour may be punished with penalty points and/or an immediate disqualification from the running competition.
1.3.4 Every participant agrees to a non-disclosure policy by participating in the NGL ONE. Participants are not allowed to disclose internal discussions, decisions and communication protocols. Participants violating the non-disclosure policy can receive penalty points, become suspended or even banned from the running competition.
1.3.5 Every participant has to be at least 14 years old.
1.3.6 All participants recognize that all stated days and times mentioned in the rules and regulations refer to the Central European Timezone (CET = GMT +01:00).
1.4 Prize Money Distribution
The amount of prize money and its distribution will be announced before every NGL ONE season.
2. Competition Format
2.1 Matchdays
The league consists of twenty-four (24) participants playing eleven (11) matchdays. One matchday has a length of two usual weeks, starting Monday at 12:00AM (0:00) and ends Sunday at 11:59 PM (23:59). On each matchday a participant is playing two (2) matches against another participant, facing each of the other participants once in a season. The matchdays and the matchups are set by the league administration before the season starts.
2.2 Match Schedule
2.2.1 The participants have to schedule their matches for the upcoming matchday in time. This means the match has to be arranged until Saturday 23:59 CET before the according matchday starts.
2.2.2 The matches have to be played on certain times given by the league administration and scheduled at one of the following times during the period of a matchday: - 15:00 (3:00 PM) - 16:00 (4:00 PM) - 17:00 (5:00 PM) - 18:00 (6:00 PM) - 19:00 (7:00 PM) - 20:00 (8:00 PM) The participants have to agree upon one of these matchdates until Saturday 23:59 (11:59PM) before the beginning of the according matchday. Matches cannot be postponed by the participants anymore as soon as they agreed upon a matchdate or if the matchdate was set by the league administration.
2.2.3 Every participant gets one (1) major and two (2) minor wildcards. Wildcards can be used to postpone matches to a date outside of a matchday. - Major wildcard: The major wildcard can be drawn by a participant anytime before a match. - Minor wildcard: The minor wildcard can be drawn by a participant before an upcoming matchday.
2.3 Match Format
2.3.1 Matches will be played as best of three (Bo3). The winning participant will receive one point in win/loss difference and the map-difference of each match as rankingpoints.If two participants end up with the same amount of points in win/loss at the end of the season the participants with the better score-difference in concern of maps will be placed first in the ranking. If the score differences of the participants also equals the result of the individual match between those participants will come into account.
2.3.2 The mapvote before every match will be procedured as followed: - Player A vetoes one map - Player B vetoes one map - Player A vetoes one map - Player B vetoes one map - Player A chooses start map - Player B chooses second map - If needed the remaining map will be the decider Player A is always the higher placed participant of the matchday before the actual matchday.
2.4 Match Procedure
2.4.1 Games are not allowed to be started without a referee present for coverage and administration reasons. The participants are responsible to make sure that the referee is present. If the host starts the game without the referee being in the game the participants have to leave the game and restart it.
2.4.2 Besides the host, the participants and the admins participants have to give access to the provided coverage (shoutcasters as well as GGTV and WTV streamers).
2.4.3 The referees will take care of uploading the replays. Nonetheless the participants have to make sure that all the replays are saved in case the referee disconnects out of a match.
2.4.4 If one of the participants disconnects within the first 3 minutes of the match, it will be restarted with the same settings as the interrupted match.
2.4.5 If one of the participants disconnects later than 3 minutes after the match has started, it will be counted as a default loss for the disconnecting player unless the participant who did not disconnect is willing to offer a rematch.
2.4.6 If there is a bug that causes a disconnect (f.e. observer-bug in GG-Client) a league official will decide if there will be a rematch.
3. Game Settings & Mappool
3.1 The NGL uses the "Warcraft III - The Frozen Throne" computer game with the latest game patch.
3.2 The game speed must be set to "fast".
3.3 The NGL uses special modified maps for the tournament. The maps have extra features to enhance the spectator mode with an additional infoboard. The official mappack can be found on the NGL homepage. It is absolutely mandatory to always use the newest version of the before mentioned mappack.
3.4 The mappool consists of the following maps: - Echo Isles - Turtle Rock - Twisted Meadows - Melting Valley - Terenas Stand - Ancient Isles - Secret Valley
3.5 All matches will be played using GArena. If a participant has problems using GArena a referee has to be consulted.
3.6 Using other third party programs is not allowed. Especially the use of programs modifying the behaviour of Warcraft III is strictly forbidden and may be punished with an immediate disqualification from the running season.
4.0 Rule Violations
4.1 Every violation of the above mentioned rules will be punished with penalty points.
4.2 Every league official is allowed to give penalty points if he feels it is necessary in the given situation.
4.3 As soon as a participant reached twelve (12) or more penalty points he will be removed from the running season with immediate effect.
4.4 In case a participant leaves the league or gets suspended or banned during the running season he will be barred from the following season.
4.5 The league officials have the right to suspend or ban participants, that have shown disrespectful behaviour, from the league. http://www.ggglhf.com
